Special Operations Warrior Foundation
Since 2004, Phil and Amy Mickelson's steadfast support of the Special Operations Warrior Foundation has significantly increased awareness and donations to the foundation. Over the past five years, the foundation has received $750,000 in support of its programs to provide college educations to the surviving children of fallen special operations personnel as well as financial support to the families of wounded special operations personnel. The $750,000 includes contributions from Phil personally though his giving program, The PGA TOUR's "Birdies for the Brave" program, donations from Phil Mickelson fans, and also from the Phil and Amy Mickelson Foundation.
"Phil and Amy Mickelson's support is a special tribute to all of the men and women serving in the military and in particular, those who have made the ultimate sacrifice," said John T. Carney, Jr., President, Special Operations Warrior Foundation. "The families of fallen warriors know that there are caring Americans, like the Mickelsons, who have not forgotten their sacrifices and loss."
